WELCOME to our club. Stevenage Sports Acrobatics Club was formed over 20 years ago and has built up very rapidly. The Club has been based at John Henry Newman Leisure Centre for 7 years. The Head Coach is Lisa Lavelle who has been involved in the sport for 20 years as both a gymnast and a coach. The club has a very dedicated coaching team all of whom are voluntary and work extremely hard to ensure that the gymnasts learn new skills in a safe and professional environment.
What is Acrobatic Gymnastics? Acrobatics involves both floor work and tumbling and is open to both boys and girls of all ages. Gymnasts can work in pairs, trios and groups as well as individually on the tumble track. The sport develops good strength, stamina and flexibility and is a sport that you can stay involved in for many years. Beginners work through the British Gymnastics awards schemes and the more advanced gymnasts work towards County, Regional and National Competitions. Want to know more? Then click here. |
